By Caroline Hsu, Managing Director, Asia Pacific
We have doubled down on Indonesia, today announcing that Thomas Franky will join the Agency to lead our Indonesia team.
You don’t hear much about the Indonesian market in the West. We believe that is about to change. Consider that PricewaterhouseCoopers predicts that Indonesia will constitute the fifth largest economy in the world by 2030.
It stands to reason that international companies will increasingly target Indonesia.
We plan to be there to lend a helping hand.
Here are the details on “Franky.”
The Hoffman Agency Appoints Thomas Franky as General Manager, Indonesia
Appointment to strengthen Agency’s Southeast Asia network
and integrated communications offering
SINGAPORE, March 10, 2020 — The Hoffman Agency has today announced the appointment of Thomas Franky as general manager of its Indonesia office. He joins the Agency from Fortune PR, where he served as managing director for four years, growing the business to be one of the biggest in Indonesia, and successfully launching two business units: digital communication consultancy diBe and brand communication consultancy Verbrand.
Established in 2017, The Hoffman Agency’s Indonesia operation is one of eight fully owned offices across Asia Pacific, working with brands, including Legoland Malaysia and McAfee across a variety of integrated, multi-market communications programs. In his new role, Franky is charged with propelling Hoffman’s presence within the Indonesia market, as well as working closely with the Singapore office to progress the Agency’s capabilities across the wider Southeast Asia region.
“We set out to find a senior pro with a deep of understanding of traditional PR, digital and the Indonesian market. Mission accomplished.” said Caroline Hsu, managing director, Asia Pacific at The Hoffman Agency.
She added, “It’s rare to find someone like Franky — someone with a go-getter, straight-talking attitude who shares our passion for putting Asia, and Asian brands, on the global map. With Franky leading our business in Indonesia, we’re looking forward to further strengthening our Asia Pacific network, and building out our offering in Southeast Asia. Which is just as well, as we see more and more brands incoming from the West ready to uncover everything this region has to give.”
Franky commented, “Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, let alone Southeast Asia, and is home to a multitude of tech unicorns. With Hoffman’s roots in Silicon Valley, I’m excited to bring my experiences to the mix and build on this synergy to grow the business.”
Based in Jakarta, Franky will report to Caroline Hsu. For further information, please visit www.hoffman.com.
